El Corregidor ln Almagro
 Deer medallions
In summer, meals at El Corregidor are served in an outdoor courtyard located amidst climbing vines and wooden window frames; on cooler days, diners are seated in an upstairs area covered by a glass ceiling in reds, yellows and greens.... For a main dish, we enjoyed deer medallions that were pink in the center and almost pâté-like in tender consistency. We drank a bottle of Quercus 1999 (La Mancha) which was redolent with cherry and black currant.

Hotel Los Linajes in Segovia View from the room
When it comes to staying in any of Europe's historical heritage cities, location is everything. Get too close to the action, and the motors and horns will keep you awake at night. Stray too far from the center and you'll find yourself tired out before you've even gotten to your first attraction of the day. But Hotel Los Linajes is special: it is both in and out of the city.

Las Nubes Near Guadalajara Las Nubes Superbly located
It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words but in this case, a thousand words might be better than the picture, because a camera lens can hardly absorb the full expanse of sun-drenched vistas seen from Casa Las Nubes. Below lie fields--rectangles of pale and dark greens and light and dense yellows where cultivation is underway, and shades of brown where the fields are lying fallow. The River Tajo divides the region like a bright turquoise ribbon.

Set in the midst of an Andalusian nature reserve is Finca Buen Vino, a unique outpost of English culture and society.
